Scientific Research

ConsumerLab’s research content shows that supplement quality varies widely by product, with testing focused on label accuracy, ingredient amounts, contamination, and disintegration where relevant. Its review articles summarize evidence for specific supplement uses, but overall the evidence is product- and ingredient-specific rather than supporting broad claims about supplements in general. For detox-related claims, ConsumerLab notes there is no convincing clinical evidence that detox supplements or OTC chelation products remove toxins or prevent disease.
