Analytics

When analytics are configured, they load only after you choose to allow them. We use aggregate page, engagement, product-click, and performance events to understand which content helps readers. With consent, eligible merchant-click events may also be recorded on our server so we can reconcile commissions; these events use product, page, and campaign fields plus a random event ID, not your name, email, IP address, health profile, chat text, or form response.

Your preference

Your analytics choice is stored in your browser. Clearing site storage resets that choice. Declining analytics does not limit access to the site.

Third-party destinations

Links to retailers, studies, and other sites are governed by those sites’ privacy practices.

Reader contributions

If you submit a product, book, or podcast review or comment, we use your email address to verify contribution access and keep it private. Your public display name and published contribution are shown on the relevant page. We may retain moderation and abuse-prevention records for as long as needed to keep the community safe, but we do not send review text, email addresses, or health details to analytics or the Guide’s scientific evidence systems.

You can ask us to remove a contribution or contact details associated with it. Published content may remain in anonymized form when needed to preserve the integrity of a moderation record.
