A reported look at long-lived communities and the lifestyle patterns observed across them.
Research reviews support that some designated Blue Zone regions have unusually high longevity and report associations with diet, physical activity, social relationships, environment, and genetics. The evidence is largely observational, region-specific, and uneven across locations, so it does not establish that a single habit causes longevity or that the book’s practices will produce a fixed lifespan increase for every reader. A small 8-week worksite study reported improvements in healthy-eating and mental-wellness measures after a Blue Zones-based program, but that finding does not establish long-term effects on longevity.
